Garfield, the iconic lasagna-loving cat, is getting a new voice in an upcoming animated movie, and it’s none other than Chris Pratt!

Pratt, who is best known for his roles in the Jurassic World franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Parks and Recreation, will be voicing Garfield in the film, which is set to hit theaters on May 24, 2024.
A first look at Pratt’s Garfield was recently released, and it’s pretty spot-on. The cat is still the same lazy, sarcastic Garfield that fans know and love, but with Pratt’s voice, he has a bit more of a mischievous edge.
In the film, Garfield will find himself in the middle of a new adventure when he meets Vic (Samuel L. Jackson), his father. Vic is a wild cat who lives in the jungle, and Garfield must learn to embrace his wild side if he wants to survive.
The Garfield movie is being directed by Mark Dindal, who is best known for directing Chicken Little. The screenplay was written by David Reynolds, who wrote the screenplay for Finding Nemo.
The film is also being produced by Alcon Entertainment, the company behind films such as The Blind Side and Blade Runner 2049.
