The next installment in the iconic Ghostbusters franchise is set to hit theaters on March 29, 2024, and the first trailer is finally here. It looks like the Ghostbusters are headed back to New York City for a new adventure, and this time they’re facing off against a frozen threat.
GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE
The trailer opens with a shot of the Ecto-1 speeding through the streets of New York City. Inside, we see the new generation of Ghostbusters: Phoebe (McKenna Grace), Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), Lucky (Celeste O’Connor), and Podcast (Logan Kim). They’re on their way to investigate a strange disturbance at the Empire State Building.
When they arrive, they find that the entire building is covered in ice. Inside, they encounter a group of ghostly creatures that are freezing everything in their path. The Ghostbusters quickly spring into action, using their proton packs to trap the ghosts.
But the ghosts are too powerful, and the Ghostbusters are soon overwhelmed. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, a familiar voice rings out: “Who you gonna call?”
It’s none other than Janine Melnitz (Annie Potts), the original Ghostbusters secretary. She’s back in action, and she’s got a new team of Ghostbusters to help her: Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis).
Together, the old and new Ghostbusters team up to take on the ghostly threat and save New York City once again.
The trailer is full of action, humor, and nostalgia. It looks like GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE is going to be a fun and exciting ride for fans of all ages.
