In the 2008 motion picture of the same name, Robert Downey Jr. debuted in the role of Iron Man. It paved the way for the eventual creation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, Tony Stark’s character Iron Man sacrificed his life to save the universe by the end of Avengers: Endgame. This appeared to be the final episode featuring the beloved character. Well, at least for Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of it.

This is consistent with a recent Variety report. “There have been talks to bring back the original gang for an Avengers movie,” their sources claim. This would entail bringing back Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who were both eliminated in Endgame.
Naturally, at this point, it wouldn’t be too hard to do so. Even though Tony Stark is no longer alive, the MCU has gone to considerable measures to present their own Multiverse. This implies that a character can have an infinite number of variations. Additionally, it has enabled the MCU to establish connections with previous Marvel adaptations that take place in distinct timelines, such as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Fox’s X-Men movies. However, it’s unclear if Robert Downey Jr.’s comeback will go in that direction. But there is undoubtedly potential.
