Oppenheimer Not In Visual Effect Category At Oscars

The nominees for the 2024 Oscars are out, and there’s a big surprise: Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer didn’t make the cut for Best Visual Effects!

While the film relied heavily on practical effects, it seems that wasn’t enough to impress the Academy. Instead, the category is filled with blockbusters like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Barbie (yes, Barbie!).

This snub is sure to raise some eyebrows, especially considering the film’s epic scope and impressive special effects. But hey, that’s the Oscars for you! ‍♀️
