Jacob Elordi’s Elvis Biopic: It’s a Stitch-Up!

“Growing up, I wasn’t an Elvis fan,” Elordi told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “The most I knew of Elvis was in Lilo & Stitch. Which is a lot, by the way!”

Elordi went on to say that he was “terrified” when he was first approached about the role of Elvis, but that he was determined to do his research and give it his all. He watched hours of footage of Elvis, read biographies, and even consulted with voice coaches to try to perfect Elvis’s iconic voice.

“I really wanted to get to the heart of who Elvis was as a person,” Elordi said. “He was more than just a singer and a performer. He was a complex and fascinating individual. I hope that I’m able to do him justice in the film.”

Elordi’s admission that he didn’t know much about Elvis before being cast in the role is sure to surprise some fans. However, it’s also refreshing to hear that he’s willing to be honest about his lack of knowledge and his determination to learn everything he can about the role.

After all, Lilo & Stitch is a pretty good starting point for anyone who wants to learn about Elvis. The film features several of his most famous songs, and Lilo’s passion for Elvis is contagious.
