Lawrence Sher, cinematographer of “Joker”, says that the sequel, “Joker 2”, is a risky movie that will surprise people. Sher, who has worked on six films with director Todd Phillips, also says that the film is in the final stages of post-production.

Joker 2: A Risky, Surprising Sequel
In a recent interview, Sher said, “Joker 2 is a risky movie and it’s going to be surprising for people. It’s not what you’d expect from a sequel. Todd is a really bold filmmaker and he’s not afraid to take risks. I think people are going to be really surprised by what he does with this film.”
Sher also said that the film is in the final stages of post-production, which means that it is nearing completion. “We’re in the final stages of post-production now. We’re just putting on the finishing touches. I’m really excited about how it’s coming together.”
“Joker 2” is expected to be released in 2024. The film will star Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, who becomes the Joker, and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, Fleck’s love interest.
The first “Joker” film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $1 billion worldwide. It won two Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Phoenix.
It will be interesting to see what Phillips and Sher have in store for “Joker 2”. Given their comments about the film being risky and surprising, it may be safe to assume that it will be a very different film from the first one.
