Martin Scorsese May Co-Direct His Next Film With Leonardo Dicaprio

Legendary director Martin Scorsese is turning 81 next month, and he’s said that he wants to make “one or two more films” before he retires. We’re all hoping for that to happen!

Martin Scorsese May Co-Direct New Film

In a recent interview, Scorsese talked about his next film, “The Wager,” which is a collaboration with his longtime friend and collaborator, Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is based on a nonfiction book by David Grann about the 1741 mutiny after the shipwreck of the HMS Wager.

Scorsese is a bit worried about the complexities of shooting on the water, which he’s never done before. He’s even considering co-directing the film for the first time in his career.

“And maybe it’s something I could co-direct, so to speak,” he said. “It’ll be difficult [to shoot a movie out on the water.] But there are ways now, with certain technical things we could do, to make it bearable. Depending on how we get the script together.”

It’s exciting to think of Scorsese co-directing a film with DiCaprio. The two have made some of the best films of the past few decades together, including “Gangs of New York,” “The Aviator,” “The Departed,” and “Shutter Island.”

I’m sure whatever Scorsese and DiCaprio decide to do, it will be a must-see film. They’re two of the most talented filmmakers and actors in the world, and they always seem to bring out the best in each other.

Here’s hoping that Scorsese and DiCaprio can make “The Wager” work, and that it’s one of the films that Scorsese makes before he retires.

I’m personally excited to see what Scorsese does next. He’s one of my favorite filmmakers, and I know that he’ll make something special, no matter what he decides to do.tunesharemore_vert
