Director Kelsey Mann has said that Anxiety is a “new but not really the type to take a back seat” character, and that makes a lot of sense given that anxiety is a normal and often important part of our lives. It can help us stay alert and motivated, but it can also be overwhelming and debilitating.
In the teaser trailer for Inside Out 2, we get a glimpse of Anxiety as she introduces herself to Joy and the other emotions in Riley’s mind. “We wanted to make such a good first impression,” she says nervously.
It’s clear that Anxiety is a complex and nuanced character, and she’s sure to add a new layer of depth and realism to the Inside Out universe. We can’t wait to see how she interacts with the other emotions and helps Riley navigate the challenges of adolescence.
